Today Dax and I celebrate our 2nd Wedding Anniversary! To say that the last two years have not gone according to “plan” is an understatement. Our “plan” consisted of continuing to live and work in Fort McMurray, Alberta, our home away from … Continue reading

1 Week Home!
Firstly, I want to thank each and every one of you for your prayers, well wishes, messages, positive vibes and reminders to just breathe. I was completely overwhelmed after surgery to see social media flooded with messages and from the well wishes … Continue reading
What a difference a year makes!
Yesterday was Jack’s first birthday! So much to celebrate. Elizabeth is recovering amazingly well just a few days after her surgery.

Thank you Pfizer!
Last week I shared my story with employees at Pfizer Canada Inc. Head Office. I was able to thank them personally for the all of the hard work and research that they do to help cancer patients like myself.
Research Rocks.
It has been a long time since I’ve written about how things are going with my battle with lung cancer. I had mentioned before that I would let you all know about a “new and revised game-plan”. That was my cool, calm … Continue reading
Family Vacation, Super Bowl Weekend and a Cancer Update!
It’s been almost 2 months since I last updated you on what’s going on in my life. We’ve been very busy so far this winter making lots of great memories.
PANAMA CRUISE: Firstly, I have to mention that I happen to have the BEST parents in the entire world. X-rays are not “exact” Continue reading
Another scan, MORE SHRINKAGE!!

I am BEYOND grateful and this positive news continues to give me the hope that I will one day be NED (No evidence of disease!). Once again, we continue with this plan and Continue reading
Just keeps shrinking!
I don’t know if I have mentioned lately just how thankful I am to have a genetic marker!! We received more positive news last week when I learned that my tumours have continued to shrink while taking Xalkori! They are slowly, but surely, shrinking and I couldn’t be more grateful that this targeted treatment is working! I am able to lead a normal (as normal as it can get while living with lung cancer) life while on these pills.
I attended my brother’s wedding on Continue reading
